Exorcist Walker reporting:

Exorcists Rinali Li and Kanda Yuu have recently arrived.  Fourth night is approaching.  Last night's exploration was a failure.  We ran into some unexpected opposition.  While I do not believe in such things, the monster we ran into would be best described as some sort of spirit or ghost.  Nothing was able to harm it and should it touch you, it is terribly painful and leaves a strange marking that will only re-appear at night.  Should we come across it in the future, order will be to escape, not confront it.  I was unable to invoke, so it could not be determined whether or not Innocence is effective against it.

Exorcist Li and I will be joining a rescue mission this evening for patients who have been captured and experimented upon, while Exorcists Ravi and Kanda will be pursuing other things. 

Exorcist Allen Walker reporting:

I am approaching my third evening in what is known as Landel's Institution.  They tell me the year is early in the 21st century, though it was most definitely 1899 when I attempted to leave the Dark Order's China Branch.  I've found no means of communication, no phones, no golems, no letters, but I do hope to maintain this journal so that when we escape, we will have a record of the events that have taken place.  And if the unfortunate should happen, there will at least be a report that will hopefully survive.

Exorcist Ravi is here as well.  I made an attempt to leave the first night, only to be stopped by a large lizard creature.  I say creature because, while it was not an Akuma, it was most certainly not anything in the animal kingdom that I was familiar with. 

On the subject of Akuma, this place seems to be littered with them, yet they are not the same.  Some call themselves "Gods of Death" or "Shinigami."  Despite the dubious title, I don't believe they are a threat.  In fact, some of them have shown genuine kindness.  There is a warmth about them, and a heartbeat rather than cold, mechanical bodies.  There are others though, that I am somewhat suspicious of.  I'll look into it and report my findings here.

The strength of my Innocence seems to have weakened as well.  While I had recently acquired the "Crown Clown" technique, now I have difficulty invoking to a simple level one transformation.  I have been assured that many here are weakened from their original state, but we have yet to find a reason for this phenomenon.  Ravi's Innocence is also missing since his arrival.  We have attempted to locate it, but have not come up with anything thus far. 

My apologies that I was not able to make it to Japan for the mission.  I think something may have malfunctioned with the Ark they had been researching in the China Branch or perhaps it is just terrible timing and some great coincidence that brought me here rather than there. 

On a personal note, I shall continue to pray for the safety of those still on out on missions and for the safe recovery of the Generals.
